Mister C’s is now frying new potatoes! It’s the start of the new potato season and we love it as they make great chips.

New potatoes are ideal for frying as because they are young potatoes they keep their shape better once cut and cooked.  We love the taste which comes from the fact that they are sweeter as the sugar content has not completely converted to starch.  The new potato season runs from April to July and our favourite variety is the Jersey Royal.
