We will be attending the 2019 National Fish & Chip Awards on Thursday 24th January with high hopes in four award categories.
This follows Mister C’s success in the 2018 competition where the team received 2 awards, Young Fish Frier of the Year for Peter Calvert and the Field to Frier Award recognising great chips and the process from the potato field to the frier.
The Award Ceremony which will be held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London takes place at lunchtime on Thursday and the team will eagerly await the news along with many colleagues from the industry. Here are details of Mister C’s success in the four categories:
Fish & Chip Shop of the Year Award – Top 10
Mister C’s is already proud to have achieved Number 1 in Yorkshire in the 2019 competition. After a tough judging process which has included mystery shops, interviews by industry experts and a presentation to a panel of judges, we hope to keep this, the flagship award, in Yorkshire following in Miller’s of Haxby who won the Award in the 2018 competition.
Staff Training & Development Award – Top 5
Mister C’s has been judged to be in the UK’s top five fish and chip businesses excelling in staff training and development.
Quality Award – Top 3
This award looks at Quality throughout our business and something we are very proud of.
Marketing Innovation Award – Top 6
The award gives businesses the opportunity to be recognised for their excellence with regards to innovative marketing planning and delivery of marketing activity and concepts.
Mark Corbally, Mister C’s Director said “We are incredibly proud to have been recognised in these four categories, we will be really nervous at the Award ceremony next week and I know the team in the shop will be keeping a close eye on what is happening and sharing the news as it happens with our customers”.
